MAKING FRIENDS

True Friendship

Key characteristics of a true friendship include trust, loyalty, mutual respect and support.

True friends are there for each other in both good times and bad, and they genuinely care about each other's well-being.

Trust

Trust is crucial in a friendship because it allows friends to confide in each other and rely on one another.

Without trust, a friendship cannot thrive as it creates insecurity and doubt.

Communication

Communication impacts the quality of a friendship by ensuring that both friends understand each other's needs and feelings.

Good communication helps prevent misunderstandings and strengthens the bond between friends.

Friend or Acquaintance

The difference between a friend and an acquaintance lies in the depth of the relationship.

Friends share a closer more personal connection, while acquaintances are people you know but do not have a deep bond with.

Challenges

Common challenges in friendship include misunderstanding, jealousy and changes in life circumstance.

These can be overcome through open communication, empathy, and a willingness to work through issues together.
